"I don't like to be out of my comfort zone, which is about a half an inch wide"
Each morning lately, I've been awakened by.....Epiphany...Epiphany is not my dog, or my cat, (even though that would be a great name)...it is these incredible pre-waking rollercoaster rides that have swooped me up, shaken me around and spit me out, somewhat delirious....to start my morning as if nothing has happened...I've been loving the ride, to say the least!
I'm not sharing these miraculous tidbits of lucid vision, slightly seasoned and covered with a thin layer of delectable, "can't wait to get out of bed and get this thing going" at this moment, as my epiphanies may be stale bread to some, while to others, walking barefoot on a giant pile of razor blades...but lets just say...Yeah baby!!!
Now that is what a great epiphany looks like. Looking east from the Thursday San Rafael Farmer's Market at Northgate Center.
I recently finished some beautiful ceramic earrings. They were cut from some beautiful vintage and contemporary Japanese, Thai, and Chinese porcelain. This photograph is about step #5 in the 15 step process.
My favorite is the, top row, far right, from a Japanese Imari Plate, circa 1960's. That particular pair of earrings is moving to Vermont with a really great couple and will be debuted at a wedding this weekend in Marin...
Christmas orders are beginning to come in on a daily basis, so if you have an heirloom tray or plate you would like made into something...nows the time to contact me and we can get this process rolling.
Thank you to those who continually tell me the earrings they bought are now their favorites. And thank you for crossing my path....
